Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration

On 9th September 2024, the Ganesha Chaturthi celebration took place with great enthusiasm and devotion on 09/09/2024. Ganesha Chaturthi is an annual festival dedicated to Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles and the god of wisdom and prosperity. We made Mandap. The event space was beautifully decorated with flowers, colorful lights, and statues of Lord Ganesha. The main idol of Lord Ganesha was placed on a grand pedestal, adorned with garlands and lights.  The celebration started with a traditional aarti, followed by the chanting of mantras.Pooja performed in accordance with Hindu traditions and rituals, starting with the Pranapratishtha (infusing life into the idol). Prasad is offered in the form of modaks (Lord Ganesha’s favorite sweet), fruits, and sweets. Cultural Programs: After the pooja, cultural performances were held, where children and adults participated in singing bhajans, dances, skit and recitations dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The performances brought a lively and joyful atmosphere to the event.

Prasad Distribution: At the end of the event, teachers distributed prasadam and that everyone received their share of the blessings.

Visarjan: The event concluded with the immersion (Visarjan) of the Ganesha idol in a nearby water body. Amidst the chanting of “Ganapati Bappa Morya,” the idol was taken in a procession, marking the end of the celebrations. The immersion symbolizes the cycle of creation and dissolution in the universe.

Conclusion: The Ganesha Chaturthi event was a grand success, bringing the community together in faith and celebration. The atmosphere was one of joy, devotion, and unity, and everyone left with a sense of fulfillment and blessings from Lord Ganesha.
