Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated in the country on 13th September this year. In recent times due to advancement in science and technology as well as change of life style, people began to use Ganesh idols made out of plaster of paris and various other chemicals. These pollute the environment along with valuable natural resources like water and soil. Hence Vishwa Vidyapeeth organised eco-friendly Ganesh idol making activity for all its students and staff on 11th September 2018 at campus. The children were taught how to make clay idols of the elephant-headed God. They were explained to encourage their own families and friends to follow suit and reduce polluting the environment.
