Curriculum

Vishwa Vidyapeeth approaches academics with learning engagements, focused on child-centric learning that provides every child holistic education.
Inculcating experiential learning that leads to a stress free environment without compromising on the quality of education. This makes every child enjoy their journey of learning.

We follow the CBSE Curricular Framework formulated by the Central Board of Secondary Education which is an eminent National Level Board. Our curriculum is carefully formulated on the innovative approach, ‘Learning by Doing’.

A child learns through their real life experiences by actually doing it and takes great pride in understanding the world around him.  In this process it enhances their SkillsKnowledge and evokes the spirit of inquisitiveness in our students. Learning is a continuous process; children get to learn new things every day.

To help our children learn innovative facts along with the changing and challenging world we need to mould them to be lifelong learners. In other words, “Learners for Life” – Open to learning, unlearning and relearning; to develop in students a presence of mind to stay happy and content.

We believe that the very essence of education is not mere memorizing to answer the questions confronted. We should equip them to spark the curiosity to build the “Power of Concentration” in children and “Ignite the young minds”.

Our curriculum has an amazing blend of scholastic and co scholastic areas of learning like Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Martial Arts, Bhagavad Gita- Life Lessons, Yoga, Theatre and a wide range of Sports Programs.

Our curriculum lays emphasis on the SEWA philosophy across all grades, this encourages our students to involve in community services and farming lessons that instil the values of gratitude, empathy and the highest quality of giving back to the community we live in.

Academics

The success of our school lies in careful planning of the lessons in the academic year and in the evaluation of students’ performance. School follows CBSE curriculum from standard I to X.

The main essence of education is to build the power of concentration in children and ignite young minds. Knowledge, skills and attitude are built through learning experiences and opportunities created for the learners. The academic year provides a total framework of teaching learning practices and assessment programs.

We believe in education, the term assessment refers to the wide variety of methods or tools that teachers use to evaluate, measure, and document the academic readiness, learning progress, skill acquisition and the knowledge gained of students. The purpose of assessment is to improve students’ learning ability.

Vishwa Vidyapeeth prepares your child for the future with a global insight in mind. Our students are equipped with academic excellence, confidence and leadership qualities that they need to face any challenges in the competitive world.

The child achieves knowledge only when a proper methodology is adopted to deliver the concept. There are so many ways used to deliver a lesson in the classroom. We use panel discussions, quiz, debates, role-plays, theatre/drama and symposiums as the co-scholastic measures supporting the routine classroom teaching. The teachers adopt various methodologies based on the subject, topic or theme.

  • Visitors are issued the ‘Visitor’s Pass’ before being allowed to enter the school premises. Unauthorised entry into the bounded campus is not allowed at any point of time.
  • Strict protocols are followed for Teachers, Support staff and domestic in-house staff.
  • Visitors without prior appointment are denied entry unless it is a medical emergency and in consultation with the seniors.
  • Gate Pass is provided for any child leaving early, after informing the Coordinators, class teacher and the school office. If parents cannot come, then a letter of authorisation for the same in the form of mail/sms is needed by the school and it is mandatory for all.

CCTV Camera

  • There are CCTV Cameras installed in each and every entry and exit points, corridors, stair cases, boundary wall entry points of toilets and play fields within the school premises which can be accessed even by all seniors on their devices.
  • Strategically located CCTV’s enable the school to keep a keen eye on students’ safety; these are monitored regularly by the administration personnel during school hours.

Infirmary

  • We have a well-equipped infirmary in each of our schools, where we have provision for first aid. A qualified Nurse and on-call Doctors are available for each campus.
  • In case of any medical attention required by the students, the school informs the parents and during an emergency the students are taken to the nearby Hospital, after consulting the parents.
  • When a student is taken home by the parents in case of illness, a gate pass is provided to them by the school office for the gatekeeper i.e. the security guard without which the child cannot leave campus.

Student Safety

  • Students are required to wear the ‘Identity Card’ issued by the school to ensure ready identification in case of need as well as quick provision of information about the child’s parents/ guardians, if needed.
  • Teachers are also required to wear Identity Cards issued by the school.
  • Strict norms are followed during recruitments and the records are maintained for investigation by authorities at any point.
  • The school also deploys female security guards for added vigilance.
  • Students are accompanied by a female attendant at all times in case there is a male coach taking classes for any sport.
  • Teachers are allocated duties, by turns, around the different areas in school during the children’s snack time to be able to ensure children’s safety on the school’s grounds during this free play time.
  • No child is allowed to be in the classroom during break time unless they have a medical problem, in which case they are accompanied by one teacher in the classroom.
  • Teachers are on duty during lunch break time to ensure safety and security of all children.

Parent Cooperation

We seek parent’s cooperation with regard to following points:

  • Photograph of parents is mandatory in the school diary and on the School app for verification purposes especially when the parents pick their ward from school.
  • If parents are unable to pick up their ward, then they are requested to send the I- Card issued by the school /authorization letter with ID proof of the person who will come to pick their ward from school. Prior permission needs to be taken from seniors for the child to travel back with the guardian.
  • Parents are advised not to encourage their wards to go to their friends or relatives house while returning by bus from school to ensure that child reaches home safely.
  • Students must wear their ID card every day.
  • Parents are requested to encourage carpooling, especially when visiting school for events like PTM, Annual day etc.
  • Parents are requested not to park their vehicles in front of the main gate to avoid traffic jams. They are also requested to be polite to the security guards and support staff since they are doing their duties as assigned by the school.
  • Vishwa Vidyapeeth follows a zero tolerance policy when it comes to a students’ safety and security in the premises and each and every member of the faculty ensures this but even though, as known with children, they can be  prone to accidents for no fault of anyone: God forbid in such cases we expect the parents to be patient and understanding and at no point of time are they permitted to hurl abuses at any member of the school or misbehave with anyone but calmly and amicably deal with such a situation; if found otherwise as experienced a zillion times before, your wards’ name will be struck off the school rolls.

Social And Emotional Safety

It is quite important to ensure that we cater to the social and emotional safety aspects of the child while at school for various reasons:

  • This helps them to perform better at the emotional tasks like developing trust in others, achieve a sense of competence and self-esteem
  • They will turn out better with their educational performance, career growth as well as societal interaction
  • We can be the consistent source of resilience in the child by providing them safety zones
  • School ensures to keep parents updated about any changes in the safety procedures being followed
  • Right from pre-primary to higher classes, children are taught about age appropriate manners like Good touch and bad touch, basic safety protocols to follow and so on during circle time, assembly and regular classes
  • Parents of pre-primary and teenage students are given professional workshops on how to handle the queries best with regard to bringing up children in the transition phases.
  • Counsellors at school take special care of children especially when they are in the transition phases to ensure that they get the same love and care as imparted at home by their near ones. Their timely counselling can help children to have a positive outlook towards life. It helps us to bring out the uniqueness of each and every child to help us build their self-esteem even better.

Disaster Management

  • A programme for ‘Disaster Management’ has been put into place by the school for immediate response to disasters in the form of fires, earthquakes etc. with technical support and guidance from the concerned authorities.
  • Disaster management drills for earthquake and fire are conducted to train students for an emergency evacuation (school has put the plan of emergency exit on each floor).
  • Regular evacuation drills ensure that the systems in place for ‘rapid response to disaster’ are tested and streamlined to ensure fast evacuation in case of need.
Administration

To work is our duty prime
Perseverance our road divine,
Success will follow in due time
Let pursuit of excellence be mine……

The Administration Department, or ‘Admin’ as they are fondly called, takes care of entire coordination between the parents and the Academic wing. Right from the security, cleanliness, dining hall, transport, coordination of arrangements for events and activities as well as finance and accounts comes under their ambit.

At Vishwa Vidyapeeth, we believe that more than any attribute, the team should work towards ensuring that the staff behaves in a kind and empathetic manner with parents. The school also expects parents to reciprocate the same way and motivate the staff to deliver better for the school’s growth.

We believe at VVP that our success is about much more than only teaching. While good teaching practices are crucial, the efficiency of our administration wing has been the key to providing the necessary connect between school and parents. The admin team is responsible for ensuring that the students’ daily needs are adequately met and there is no compromise on aspect.

Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems theory for the child-development considers that a variety of systems interact with a child to create a unique cognitive, social, and psycho-social profile. Many institutions regularly interface with the child and ends up determining the development of a child. In this, the School plays a very important role.

A child spends almost approximately three-fourths of their day in school and their critical thinking is decided by the setting in which their development takes place. This is why at VVP we give a lot of importance is setting up the right environment for the children.

Vishwa Vidyapeeth has always believed that the staff should be role models for our students and hence we work in a way to meet the educational and life demands of a child. Also these needs should not distract the teachers from their real duties. This is where the active role of a well-equipped admin can do wonders.

Right from travelling safely to and fro from the school, to receiving healthy and nutritious meals to learning in a safe and caring environment that provides the right mental health support is taken care of by the admin wing. They support the efforts of the Academic wing in a large way. Beyond the day-to-day administrative works, the tem is also responsible for proper maintenance of student data and statutory regulations.

The administration wing at VVP is encompassed with various leadership skills and they take pride in their strategic planning, tremendous support in every sector, and their respect for the fraternity of faculty, students, parents and management. Often they end up managing multiple situations all at once and need to give their 100% time and again. However, the ardent support from our parents has helped us to groom them in the right direction.
