Morning Assembly

The Morning assembly is a perfect start to an action packed day at VVP. The 20 minutes dedicated for assembly helps the children to catch up on the most essential early morning sunlight and also helps them to calm down, preparing them for the learning ahead.

The trees, the chirping birds and the early morning sky help children turn inwards after an invigorating session of free hand exercises conducted by the assembly in charges. The children take turns to conduct assemblies in guidance of their teachers.

Every day we start with warm up exercises and Saraswati Stuti and Guru Vandana followed by singing important patriotic songs like Kannada Rashtra Geethe, Vande Mataram, Pledge, and daily recitation of the National Anthem.

The daily assembly is planned on the following points:

  • Discipline
  • Physical exercise
  • Stage exposure for children to inculcate public speaking skills
  • Recapping important news and events for the day
  • Rewarding achievers and motivating students
  • Skit and other performances by children
  • Birthday wishes to children
  • Celebration of festivals
  • Celebration of any special occasions as per the date
  • Special speeches by staff of VVP
  • Guest speakers
  • Mother on duty speaker
  • Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene

Morning assembly fosters a sense of belonging to the institution. It helps to bring awareness in students and staff about the current social and political issues.
