Internal Safety Audit

Vishwa Vidyapeeth believes that safety of students, staff and visitors at campus should be of prime importance. Hence we have set up our Internal Safety Audit as given below:

Entry & Exit

  • A trained professional security team is deployed at each campus, with guards monitoring all entry and exit points 24/7.
  • Visitor Entry: Only authorized visitors with a valid Visitor Pass are allowed inside. Unauthorised entry is strictly prohibited.
  • Staff Protocols: Strict guidelines are followed for all teachers, support, and in-house staff.
  • Parental Access: Visitors without prior appointments are not permitted, except in medical emergencies with senior approval.
  • Student Exit: A Gate Pass is issued for students leaving early, after approval from the Principal, Class Teacher, and School Office. If a parent cannot come, an authorisation via mail/SMS is mandatory.
  • To ensure complete campus security, CCTV cameras are installed at all entry and exit points, corridors, staircases, boundary walls, toilet entry points, and play areas.
  • These strategically placed cameras allow senior members to monitor footage remotely, while the administration team actively supervises them during school hours—ensuring continuous student safety and accountability across the campus.

Infirmary

  • Our  campus has a well-equipped infirmary staffed with a qualified nurse and on-call doctors. First aid is readily available to all students.
  • In case of medical attention, parents are promptly informed. For emergencies, students are taken to the nearest hospital after parental consultation.
  • When a student leaves campus due to illness, a Gate Pass is issued by the school office, which must be presented to security before the student can exit.

Student Safety

  • All students and teachers must wear school-issued Identity Cards for easy identification and quick access to emergency contact details.
  • Strict recruitment norms and record-keeping ensure the safety and integrity of all staff members.
  • Female security guards are deployed for enhanced vigilance, and female attendants and teachers accompany students when male coaches conduct sports classes.
  • Teachers supervise children during snack and lunch breaks, ensuring safety across the campus. No student is allowed in classrooms during breaks unless medically excused and supervised by a teacher.
  • The school has an active Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee and Child Protection Cell to address safety concerns, including matters related to POCSO.
  • Student, parent, and family information is kept strictly confidential.
  • A full-time counsellor is available to support students’ emotional and personal well-being.
  • Regular awareness sessions educate students on good and bad touch, safe online practices, and social media precautions through films and talks.
  • Classrooms are checked by the teacher holding the last period to maintain order and safety.

Washrooms

  • Children in Pre-Primary classes are always escorted to the washrooms by female staff for their safety and comfort. Dedicated female attendants oversee the washrooms for both junior and senior students.
  • All student toilets are regularly cleaned by female support staff, and the entire school premises are fumigated every fortnight to maintain a healthy environment.
  • At Vishwa Vidyapeeth, cleanliness is not just a routine—it’s a mindset. We firmly believe that cleanliness is the hallmark of excellence and uphold the highest standards for the well-being of our students.
  • Our school features spacious classrooms, well-maintained sports fields, and essential amenities to support student growth.
  • Fire extinguishers are installed in all corridors and laboratories for safety.
  • We provide safe drinking water for all students and staff, and ensure proper waste disposal to maintain a clean and healthy environment.

Infrastructure

Dispersal Time

  • Students are released from buses or classrooms only after verifying that the person collecting them is the parent or guardian registered with the school. If the parent or guardian is unavailable, the child is safely kept on the campus.
  • At least one lady teacher or staff member remains on campus until all students have safely left. Teachers are on duty during dispersal, escorting students to their buses alongside bus attendants.
  • Students who walk home or use private vehicles are also accompanied by a teacher on duty to ensure their safety until they leave the school premises.

Parent Coordination

We kindly request parents to support us by adhering to the following points:

  • A photograph of parents is mandatory in the school diary and on the school app for verification, especially during student pick-up.
  • If parents are unable to pick up their child, please send the child’s school ID card or an authorization letter with valid ID proof of the person authorized to collect the child. Prior permission must be obtained from the Principal for the child to travel with a guardian.
  • Parents are advised not to encourage children to visit friends’ or relatives’ homes after school bus drop-offs to ensure safe arrival home.
  • Students must wear their ID cards every day.
  • We encourage parents to carpool, especially during school events such as PTMs and Annual Day.
  • Please avoid parking in front of the main gate to prevent traffic congestion. Kindly maintain politeness towards security and support staff, who are performing their duties.
  • Vishwa Vidyapeeth maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding safety and security. While we strive to keep children safe, accidents can happen. We expect parents to respond with patience and understanding. Any abusive or disrespectful behavior toward school staff will lead to the student’s removal from the school rolls.

At Vishwa Vidyapeeth, we prioritize the social and emotional safety of every child because it is key to their overall development.

  • A safe emotional environment helps children build trust, competence, and self-esteem.
  • This foundation supports their academic success, career growth, and healthy social interactions.
  • We provide consistent safety zones to foster resilience and well-being.
  • Parents are kept informed about any updates in safety protocols.
  • From Pre-Primary to higher classes, students learn age-appropriate lessons on topics like good touch/bad touch and basic safety during assemblies and classes.
  • Parents of Pre-Primary and teenage students are offered professional workshops to support them through key developmental transitions.
  • Our school counselors provide special care and timely guidance, helping children develop a positive outlook and strong self-esteem, reflecting the love and support they receive at home.

Social & Emotional Safety

Disaster Management

  • We have  implemented a comprehensive Disaster Management program to ensure immediate and effective response to emergencies such as fires and earthquakes, with technical support from relevant authorities.
  • Regular fire and earthquake drills train students in emergency evacuation procedures. Emergency exit plans are clearly displayed on every floor.
  • These drills help test and refine our rapid response systems, ensuring quick and safe evacuation when needed.
