Vishwa Vidyapeeth’s Signature Programs offer distinctive learning opportunities that enhance creativity, leadership, and critical thinking skills.
Vishwa Vidyapeeth places great emphasis on instilling the deep-rooted culture, traditions, and values of India in our students. This fosters a positive self-identity, a sense of belonging, respect for others, reinforcement of our morals and values, preservation of our cultural heritage, and understanding of Unity in Diversity. We are committed to establishing a strong foundation of acceptance and inclusion by actively involving our students in cultural celebrations and embracing the diverse social environment within the school, thus preparing them to transition into adulthood as well-informed, confident, accepting, and inclusive individuals. Many of our cultural traditions and customs hold significant value for the future generations.
Recognizing the rapidly changing world and the conflict between modernity and tradition faced by today’s children, it is our duty as parents and educators to find the right balance between upholding essential traditional values and integrating necessary modern changes.
Vishwa Vidyapeeth has organised various workshops to bring the school and parents together. The idea is to improve the academic and social success for children. The workshops have been quite successful and endorsed by both parents and staff alike. A wide variety of topics of interest for all parents is covered during the workshop, within the familiar environment of the school community.
We have got several testimonials from parents which confirm that the skills and strategies learned during the workshops helps parents to groom children better. The workshops basically help to impart techniques of better parenting, helping children to grow in confidence and resilience with better cooperation, communication, zeal to try new things and to persevere. It also motivates them to do well academically and socially. Be it academic, artistic or sporting endeavours – without placing undue pressure on the children, parents can support them to perform much better.
At Vishwa Vidyapeeth, we let mothers “see”, “live” & “believe” the process of holistic education with the “Mother-on-duty” Concept. This allows the mother of each student to take a tour of the school and evaluate the atmosphere that the children study in. While a child is influenced and shaped by the entire society, there are no individuals who play a more pivotal role in this than the parents and the school. It involves promoting a child’s well-being, by supporting his/her physical, intellectual, emotional and social development.
Hence, Vishwa Vidyapeeth has taken the initiative of introducing the Mother-on-duty concept which will help us bridge such gaps. As per the scheduled dates, the mothers should arrive on campus and spend the day in school where they will get to see first-hand how the day to day routine of the school is scheduled.
Vishwa Vidyapeeth has implemented Home Visits to establish stronger connections between teachers, students, and parents. Research has shown that home visits are linked to improved academic performance in maths, reading, and classroom adjustment. Students who receive home visits also demonstrate increased participation in literacy activities and group activities. Teachers gain valuable insights into their students’ home environments and their families’ strengths, enabling them to tailor instruction to each child’s needs. The primary objective of home visits is for educators to listen, build relationships, and establish trust, rather than to simply address problems or showcase expertise. Home visits also provide significant benefits for educators, allowing them to engage families effectively in their child’s learning and development by recognizing the family’s expertise in their child and the teacher’s expertise in curriculum and assessment.
On invitation from the Chinese Government and as a part of an exchange program, our Director Ms Suseela Santhosh went on a visit to different educational institutions of China. The team visited Yunnan Minzu University (MDFZ). They met the School Principal, Mr. Li Xingfu and his leadership team. They also visited Xiamen University for a fruitful discussion at their Xiamen Urban Planning Exhibition Centre. Today they had a visit to the Fuzhou No.1 high school which is the 1st best school in Fuzhou province. There were elaborate discussions with the Principal of the school, Mr. Li Xun.
The best part of the exchange programme was that it has been an amazing learning experience as Our Director could interact with several school leaders on a Beneficial partnership. School leaders of various Institutions in China were delighted to build on this partnership after an interaction with the VVP team on its unique features for its learners. After an impressive showcase of our state Karnataka and VVP’s salient and unique features, the possibility of an interesting exchange programme seems promising. Discussions on topics that exchange can happen, keeping learning as the key factor is of paramount importance.
Valuing its own culture and tradition, Vishwa Vidyapeeth believes in respecting the culture of other countries too. Under the auspices of Yunnan Minzu University, two graduate students, Ms. Vera and Mr. Zhu, from China visited our campus as a part of the cultural exchange programme. We had them teaching Mandarin for the ICSE & Cambridge students as well as the teachers during their stay over here on our campus. At the same time, the delegates also learnt our home languages like Hindi, English and Kannada. This was the initiation of the cultural exchange programme between the two schools.
To further promote cultural exchange programmes they participated in the various events hosted by the school that will enhance their understanding of Indian as well as our school culture.
