Nutrition at Vishwa Vidyapeeth

At Vishwa Vidyapeeth, we focus on providing nutritious and balanced meals that support students’ health and enhance their learning experience.

Food and nutrition are an integral part of grooming a child and hence are given utmost importance at Vishwa Vidyapeeth. We have a well maintained, hygienic kitchen and food is prepared with proper measurements to ensure quality and hygiene

The inhouse kitchen caters lunch (optional) for all the students. The food menu is carefully designed keeping in mind a balanced diet while also being healthy, nutritious and tasty. We ensure the children have sufficient portions with respect to their age.  The food menu is shared with the parents on a weekly basis through the school app.

The lunch served is strictly vegetarian (some of these are grown in the school garden), ensuring good health.

We do keep a strict vigil when it comes to “no waste of food”, students are advised to clean the food on their plate without wasting. This brings in a very important life lesson of how important food is and wasting food is not encouraged.

Nutrition week

This year Nutrition week is celebrated to create awareness on various state traditional foods made out of millets and importance of millets in our ancestors’ health. As a part of nutritious week celebrations students were asked to bring a particular millet on each day for a complete week like Foxtail millet day, Ragi day, Bajra day, Jowar day and Barnyard day. Students actively participated and enjoyed bringing those traditional millet foods and eating along with their peers.
