Celebrating the Spirit of Jai Jawan Jai Kisan

The Vishwa Vidyapeeth Group of Schools inaugurated its grand cultural fiesta, “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan,” at the Vikramashila Campus from November 27–29, 2025, with great splendour and patriotic fervour. The inaugural ceremony was graced by eminent dignitaries including Padma Shri Dr. Khadar Vali, Honorary Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav, Param Vir Chakra awardee, Col. Jai Shankar Babu, Shri C. B. Maheshwarappa, and MLA Shri S. R. Vishwanath.
A vibrant bullock cart procession accompanied by Veeragase set a powerful cultural tone. The lighting of the lamp and inspiring addresses formally marked the beginning of the celebrations, filling the campus with pride, purpose, and enthusiasm.

Come, Walk the Heritage With Us

Take a look back at the paths we explored and the stories we discovered.

Veera Bhoomi Yatra

The “Jai Jawan” pre-event activities immersed students in powerful learning experiences that fostered deep respect for India’s Armed Forces. Visits to Ladakh’s Hall of Fame and Kargil War Memorial highlighted stories of valour and sacrifice, while interactions at the Know Your Army Mela offered insights into military life and defence technology. Patriotic moments at the Attari Border and reflections at Jallianwala Bagh strengthened national pride. Exposure to Aero India, DRDO, DGQA, naval ships, military training centres, and museums broadened understanding of defence careers. The journey concluded with inspiring Passing-Out Parades, leaving students motivated by discipline, service, and patriotism.

Krishi Jnana Yatra

Under the “Jai Kisan” pre-event activities, students were deeply immersed in India’s agricultural heritage through hands-on farming experiences across Karnataka and neighbouring states. Learning began at Kedar and Badri Krishi Kshetra, where students practised natural farming methods such as Jeevamrutha preparation, seed processing, sowing, and organic crop management. Field visits to farms, nurseries, ICAR beekeeping units, and natural farming centres exposed them to sustainable practices, indigenous cattle breeds, water management, and organic pest control. Students explored diverse agricultural systems—from millet nutrition and jaggery making to sericulture and seed conservation—experiencing the complete journey of farming from soil to market, fostering respect for farmers and food cultivation.

Adding Vibrancy to the Event

The “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan” journey became a powerful experience of learning, gratitude and nation building. As classrooms transformed into rehearsal spaces during zero periods, the spirit of the mega event came alive through students’ engagement and preparation. Their interactions with soldiers and farmers, connection with the soil, and exposure to history shaped their perspectives deeply. During the three-day culmination programme, students of Vishwa Vidyapeeth explained their learning to visiting schools and dignitaries through models, charts and creative displays under the Learning Outreach Programme. These activities strengthened patriotism, environmental awareness, humility, teamwork and gratitude, reaffirming the school’s commitment to holistic, value-based education.
