Parent Engagement Programme

Research shows that parent engagement in schools is closely linked to better student behaviour, higher academic achievement, and enhanced social skills and we believe empowering parents with the resources they need to support their child’s learning journey is very essential.

PEP Workshops & Seminars

We understand that as a parent of a young child you probably have many moments of stress and tantrums. As part of our ongoing initiative to engage with parents and support them in raising happy, healthy, successful children, Vishwa Vidyapeeth has been conducting interactive workshops with parent participation and engagement through activities from 2017 onwards. This program will help you minimize these challenging moments and maximize the joyful moments with your child.

These are conducted by quite eminent personalities who have experience in counseling parents and cater to various age groups. The PEP workshop programme is designed based on meticulous research, evidence-based  practices and cultural sensitivity. Topics covered will range from managing your child’s behaviour and emotions, to building confidence in your child, to communicating and bonding with your child and teaching values to your child.

The workshops are designed to be informative, immersive and interactive with hands-on practical learning. Parents are also invited to share their experiences and continue their conversation through a discussion forum that connects them with other parents and experts.

As a parent, participating in this program will help you:

  • build a stronger relationship with your child
  • create a supportive learning environment at home
  • be a calm and confident parent

Your child will:

  • be happy, secure and more co-operative at home
  • enjoy school and be a joyful learner

We hope you will make full use of this opportunity to better understand, connect and support your child by:

  • regularly attending the workshops
  • reading the materials shared online
  • doing the suggested activities and tasks
  • actively participating in the discussions by asking questions and sharing your experiences and thoughts.

Some of the workshops conducted so far include:

  • Unlocking Academic Excellence
  • Adolescent Well-Being
  • Raising your child in a digital world

Sahayoga - Involving parents as teachers

Parents coming and teaching in school as a form of Sahyoga is a powerful and beneficial partnership that enriches the educational experience for students. It creates a sense of togetherness, mutual understanding, and shared responsibility in nurturing the next generation. This collaborative effort ensures that children receive the best possible support both at school and at home, setting the stage for their success and personal growth.

Volunteers - Involving parents during activities

Parents who stay involved in their children’s education see improvements in their children’s attendance, behaviour, academic performance, social skills, and school readiness. Parental participation also more firmly positions young students to cultivate a lifetime love of learning, which is crucial for long-term success, according to studies. Hence we invite parents to join the school team as a volunteer in various activities, some of which include:

  • Going on Field Trips
  • Part of Sports Committee
  • Event Management for annual day and other major events
  • Mother on Duty
  • Judges for competitions
  • PEP Committee etc.
  • Social Awareness group activities
