A look back at the remarkable events, accomplishments, and memorable moments from AY 2025-26.
We at Vishwa Vidyapeeth believe that students should be given real-life exposure by meeting people who have achieved greater things and who have been contributing to a great extent to our country. As a part of this programme, we have been inviting eminent personalities on campus to speak to our students and influence them with their experiences. So far, our students have met the famous Indian Scientists Sri Nambi Narayanan and Sri Subbiah Arunan as well as the “Man of the Millennium” Sri Palam Kalyanasundaram. They have also met famous Sports personalities such as Neeraj Chopra and Gary Kirsten.
Students of Classes I-XII have participated in the International Yoga Day and in the World Music Day and brought a new vibrance to the campus with uniqueness in asana with a blend of music.
Dr Deeksha Awasthi addressed students of Classes 9 and 10 on account of World Mental Health Day.
Dr Awasthi focussed on building resilience and shared strategies for Board Exam preparations.
Students enthusiastically participated in the dry waste collection. The school won the
Inter School Recycling Championship -2025 conducted by ITC’S Wellbeing Out Of Waste Initiative (WOW).
With 14 competitions and 350 school participants, Verba Et Vach was a huge success.
Classes 1 to 4 visited Picket Fence Family Farm, Dodda Sagarahalli, Rangoli Garden, Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, Chitrakala Parishath, ISKCON Temple, and Yelahanka Post Office as part of their Heritage Trip.
The visit provided students with an enriching opportunity to explore Bengaluru’s culture, history, art, science, spirituality, and community heritage through engaging real-world experiences.
Students explored and demonstrated their talents at the cultural part of the mega event. From Jugalbandi to Operation Sindoor, the performance was exemplary.
As a part of the Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan (J3K) initiative at VVP Students from Classes VI to X from the month of July to September had been assigned diverse field experiences, including agricultural visits, defence-sector institutions such as BEL, HAL, DRDO, BHEL, OTA, and Air Defence College, as well as heritage sites such as Sadashivgad Fort, Srirangapatna, Chennakeshava Temple, Mandu Fort, Lakkundi, and Pandavleni Caves. The programme encourages students to connect classroom learning with real-life experiences, developing appreciation for agriculture, defence, India’s heritage, teamwork, responsibility, and national service.
Students of Classes I-V had depicted the bravery of soldiers and hard work of farmers expressing the deep patriotism and gratitude by dance drama under the title ‘Pouranika Charitham’.
Students of Class 9 and 10 have presented the mathematical concepts at AIMER Conference at Trichy.
The curious minds had first hand experience on the art of writing an abstract.
VVPMUN 2026 was a successful three-day Model United Nations conference that fostered diplomacy, leadership, critical thinking, collaboration, and global awareness among students.
The students of Class IX took the learning from Guitar, Keyboard and Vocal to their fullest potential at the Band -It competition.
From 8th to 16th April, students of Classes IX and X embarked on an educational and adventurous expedition to the Himalayas, combining adventure activities with practical learning in geography.
Students explored ridges, passes, summits, glaciers, and different types of ice, received a briefing on trekking equipment and safety, and completed a challenging trek to the summit, gaining valuable experiences in teamwork, resilience, and outdoor learning.
The Spell Bee competition at VVP at the International level provided students with an engaging platform to enhance their spelling, vocabulary, pronunciation, and language skills.

The In-House Spell Bee competition at VVP for Grades 1 to 8 provided students with an exciting platform to develop their spelling, vocabulary, pronunciation, and language skills.
Students participated with great enthusiasm and confidence, demonstrating their quick thinking, concentration, and command of words.
The SOF Olympiad at VVP for Classes I to X provided students with an opportunity to showcase their knowledge, logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and subject proficiency.
Students participated enthusiastically and challenged themselves through competency-based and analytical questions in a competitive learning environment.
Exploring the prospects of understanding Commerce and Finance was the journey taken to explore by Harini Seetharaman from Class VIII on Financial Literacy Olympiad.
The Pune experiential learning journey from 9th to 11th January provided students with enriching exposure to defence, corporate and cultural experiences.
Students visited Aundh Military Camp, CME, Bajaj General Insurance, Army Sports Institute and NDA, gaining insights into discipline, leadership and teamwork.
The journey concluded with a cultural visit to Pataleshwara Cave Temple, making it a memorable learning experience.
Our school participated enthusiastically in the GEMA International Winter Painting Competition, with 66 students from Grades 1–10 submitting their artwork.
Four students received Appreciation Certificates, making the event a proud achievement for our school.

Vishwa Vidyapeeth has established a ‘School Innovation Council’ at Secondary Level from AY 2022-23 to foster the culture of ideation, innovation, entrepreneurship, creative thinking, design thinking, prototyping, out-of-box thinking, and IP commercialization by facilitating the training (for teachers), field visits, leadership talks, awareness, orientation sessions, boot camps, national-level exhibitions, hackathons, skill modules. This initiative bridges the gap in connecting schools with the Innovation & Entrepreneurial ecosystem of the country.

At Vishwa Vidyapeeth, Ganitha mela was a week fair exhibiting mathematical concepts in depth in the form of games, journals, banners and student demos. Here children could learn through exploration and inquisitiveness. 12 mathematicians who are Padmashree / Padmanabhan awardees were invited to take sessions as Harates which included Padma Shri Smt Sujatha Ramdorai , Sri Tirthankar Bhattacharyya, Sri Parshuram Atmaram Gangavane, Sri Rohini Godbole, Sri Amitabh Joshi, Sri AS Kiran Kumar, Sri BS Krishnamurthy, Sri MRN Murthy, Sri Nithin Nagaraj, Sri Utpal Nath, Sri Rajaram Nityananda, Sri Phoolan Prasad, Sri Joseph Samuel, Sri VSS Sastry, Sri Kollegala Sharma, Sri Supurna Sinha and Sri Basavaraj Umarani. Video presentations of critical thinking concepts of mathematics were held. Almost 2000 plus students and parents visited from outside.
Design thinking has long been considered the holy grail of innovation—and the remedy to stagnation.Design thinking classes are conducted at regular intervals by trained teachers in the field for classes 6, 7 and 9. Here we aim to design experts in our school. Design for change relies on this methodology. The design thinking process empowers young minds to fulfil their projects and develop skills, including creative thinking, empathy, and collaborative problem-solving.
VVP supports this programme to ensure that students can tap their potential in this new and emerging field. This helps them to enhance visual communication, learn about future career options, promotes interdisciplinary learning and boosts student engagement. The students of class 6 and 7 created games like Drag and Drop, Earning points by clicking, etc using Scratch coding. Bhushan Katral of class IX, created an app which helps the class I and II students to identify the planets in the solar system and understand the features of each planet.
When you create your own eBook, you can make sure that all students, regardless of ability, can access the content. This may involve including alternative text descriptions for images, integrating audio or video content, or modifying the font size and style for students with visual impairments. The students of class X created their own ebooks for various topics in their Information Technology subject. Later, a hard copy of the e-book was taken and kept under the Students corner in the school library for all the students to access.
Sanskrit is given a huge importance at Vishwa Vidyapeeth. Regular shlokas including Kshamapana stotram are chanted during assembly, Bhagavad Gita classes are included in the regular time table and an Inter School event Pragnya Pradeepaha is conducted every year on a grand scale. Also, Dharmik Dincharya book containing shlokas has been distributed to students and teachers which are regularly chanted during class assembly.
Smart India Hackathon (SIH) is a premier nationwide initiative designed to engage students in solving some of the most pressing challenges faced in everyday life. Launched to foster a culture of innovation and practical problem-solving, our students have used this dynamic platform to develop and showcase their creative solutions to real-world problems. The hackathon not only offers students an opportunity to showcase their skills but also encourages collaboration with industry experts, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Understanding India: Stories from our Living past
In Collaboration with the School of Art and Architecture, Reva University, Bangalore, VISHWA VIDYAPEETH has taken initiative to align with the United Nations, SDG – 11, Sustainable Cities and Communities.
The Club intends to educate and create awareness about local history and Heritage amongst the youth of the country, which further strengthens efforts to protect and safeguard the cultural Heritage of India.
Vishwa Vidyapeeth strongly believes Collaboration with schools allows us to know more than what we are capable of knowing by ourselves which is vital for the growth of any School to impart continuous learning by sharing. One such opportunity was created in Vishwa Vidyapeeth to provide us with an opportunity to collaborate with B.S International school on 23rd May 2023. The teacher collaboration programme was on curriculum, pedagogy and various best practices in the school followed by a campus tour.
The highly anticipated Drum Jam took place at Vishwa Vidyapeeth on August 26th, 2023, leaving an indelible mark on all who attended.The event was led by the illustrious Ms.Vasundhara Das – renowned singer, musician, and actor – alongside the exceptional drummer, Roberto Narain, and their talented team of musicians. The school ground resonated with the exhilarating beats of drums and the harmonious blend of voices, as students, under Mr.Narain’s expert guidance, crafted their own unique rhythms. This electrifying experience captivated both students and parents alike, ensuring that the memories of this vibrant musical celebration will be cherished for years to come.
The School is organising a heritage walk this year as a part of our efforts to immerse students in the rich cultural heritage of India. This educational heritage walk aims to deepen their understanding of our country’s history and heritage conservation efforts. The volunteers from the Heritage Conservation Program will guide our students to explore significant historical landmarks and cultural sites in their respective places. This is an integral part of our curriculum. It provides practical insights into the various subjects—Languages, Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Art—aligned closely with their coursework. Some of the trips include a visit to Pondicherry, Thanjavur, Hampi, Bellary, Belur, Halebidu, Kolar, Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple etc. to name a few.
रामायण-दर्शनम्” – An Insight into Ramayana
The Sanskrit Department of Vishwa Vidyapeeth Group of Schools conducted a workshop on the Ramayana in May 2024. Esteemed speakers from various institutions visited our school to enlighten our students on the importance of the Ramayana in daily life. The workshop featured discussions on various topics from the Ramayana. This unique program aimed to provide a deeper understanding of the righteousness of Lord Shriram and the significance of all the characters in the epic. The conclusion of the programme was marked by the visit of H.H.Shri Vishwaprasannateertha Swamiji, Pejawar Mutt, Udupi.
The Annual Day celebrations at Chowdiah Memorial Hall on January 16, 2025, brought together over 600 students, teachers, and parents from Vishwa Vidyapeeth (CBSE) to showcase the school’s vibrant talent and spirit. The event featured a captivating dance-drama, ‘Pouranika Charitham,’ exploring Hindu cosmology through the four Yugas and Lord Vishnu’s Dashavatar and the 6 abodes of Lord Muruga. Graced by distinguished guests like filmmaker Shri. Sagar Puranik, the occasion also highlighted the achievements of students and the importance of parenting, with speeches from Principal Smt. Shanthi Seetharaman and Director Smt. Suseela Santhosh. The celebration left a lasting impact, inspiring the school community to pursue excellence.
At Vishwa Vidyapeeth, our students took charge of their learning in the most inspiring way! As part of our Student-Led Revision, students showcased their understanding across various subjects by teaching their parents through interactive and engaging activities.
Parents actively participated in the learning journey, joining hands with their children in activity-based tasks that brought concepts to life. Thoughtful discussions, joyful performances, and curious questions filled the classrooms with energy and excitement.
This unique experience not only reinforced academic concepts but also strengthened the bond between home and school.
